Pflugerville has a shelter?

Yes indeed!  This is a question we frequently hear from a lot of people, even those that live inside Pflugerville city limits!
The Pflugerville Animal Shelter is the official municipal shelter in the city of Pflugerville, and it is a part of the city's Animal Control Division.  It is run by a small but dedicated group of Animal Control Officers (ACOs), who maintain the entire facility, care for all animal needs, and also answer to animal disturbances within the city.  The Pf shelter also counts on the help of a dedicated volunteer team, who assists with the care of its animal residents, and promotes adoptions by frequently taking animals to adoption events around the city.

As the city of Pflugerville continues to grow, so does it's animal population and the need for community involvement. You can help by becoming a volunteer or becoming a foster parent to one of our wonderful cats or dogs. Email your volunteer information to or fax to 512-990-8383. For questions, call 512-990-PETS.
PAS volunteers assist staff with basic shelter and animal care needs, as well as participate in adoption events in and off site through the year. For more details and information on the next available class, visit the PAS Volunteer page on the City of Pflugerville website.
The Pflugerville shelter is always in need of foster homes for special cases like pregnant/nursing moms, orphaned animals, and animals with special needs. Visit the PAS Volunteer page to find out more about becoming a foster parent.
Do you currently run an animal rescue group? Consider partnering with the Pflugerville Animal Shelter and help save more lives. Visit the PAS Volunteer page to find out more on becoming a rescue partner.
The Pflugerville Animal Shelter is a great place to find your animal companion. All PAS animals are guaranteed to be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Click here to look at their Adoptable nimals, or come by the shelter to see them in person!
